What you will do:

The role holder is accountable for developing and implementing the strategic direction for GTRF Europe across

Chief Data and Accounting Management:
Lead the Chief Data and Accounting Management team for GTRF to deliver the operating model future state, driving implementation and successful embedding of key projects), support the business performance and manage the analytics BOW.

The Chief Data and Accounting Management Officer will also have the responsibility to manage the accounting activity for GTRF Europe, design target operating model and ensure its efficiency.
In this role you will have the following accountabilities:


Data & Analytics

  • Ensure business performance KPIs are accurate and comprehensive at a regional and countrylevel (data environment covering 17 markets, over 60 business development managers and the fullsuite of GTRF products).
  • Ensure the Analytics team effectively supports both Europespecific and Global sales initiatives.
  • Engage CMB Europe and Global GTRF Analytics to align on best practices.
  • Launch a robust Services Analytics agenda to monitor transaction volumes, SLA performance rates and the endtoend client experience.
  • Use data to generate new ideas and insights to improve financial and client services performance.

Accounting Management

On the control monitoring:

  • Ensure a proper balance sheet of GTRF Europe accounting activities.
  • Embed the future state operating model
  • Oversight of the accounting operations and close monitoring of the related production.
  • Be responsible of the whole certification process which will imply no delay on suspense account management.
  • Ensure a high level of quality and expertise to manage this activity
  • Finance reporting's must be generated on time and be accurate.
  • Be proactive on the overall management of this activity to avoid any reporting revenue challenges.
  • Deliver any initiative that will enhance and improve management of this activity and implement strategic solutions that will help to fix any challenge identified.
  • Be proactive on any RWA impacts due to the accounting management and implement efficient solutions.
  • Understand the accounting impacts in case of any new product or system implementation.
  • On the payments and invoicing activities
  • Payment of charges and related invoicing to internal and external stakeholders will have to be done on time.
  • Robust oversight of this activity and close monitoring of the related production.
  • Support the business by implementing solutions that fits with the client expectations and comply with our accounting architecture.
  • On the Thirdparty Management:
  • Ensure that this activity is being managed properly and fully aligned with the global guidance.
  • Making sure that the underlying costs are related and accurate.
  • Manage the controls that will demonstrate the right level of oversight and performance.
Conditions

  • Highly developed leadership, strategic consulting and management skills, with experience in team building and managing a wide range of projects
  • Experience in managing Analytics and accounting activities
  • Proven and progressive product management, business planning and financial management experience including experience in the operational side of international banking
  • Highly developed communication and influencing skills set. Ability to work in a collaborative environment while making material progress with many stakeholders in a complex, matrixed, organizational structure
  • Ability to use strong judgement to identify and resolve problems whilst maintaining budgets, time scales and quality of output
  • Working knowledge and keen understanding of endtoend bank operations, trade finance products and information technology systems
  • Personal passion and ambition for HSBC and GTRF, with the ability to travel
