The Scrum Master Role:


As a Scrum Master you will coach and guide the team to ensure adoption of Agile principles, leading to the delivery of the highest value to the customer.

You will help them remove impediments and champion continuous improvement in your team and throughout the organization.

Critical aspects of your work will be to ensure good communication in a safe environment, support learning and feedback and help the people around you grow.


You will be joining a rapidly expanding team early in its growth cycle, which means you will have an opportunity to shape the team's culture.


Key Activities:


  • Being a servantleader for the team
  • Guiding the team and organization on Agile practices and values to satisfy customers, in self organization and on how to go beyond the Scrum framework (complementing Agile frameworks with technical excellence and practices, scaling to the organization, interactions with other actors)
  • Assessing the Agile maturity of the team and organization and contributing to the ideation and implementation of the strategies leading to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
  • Leading the team to remove impediments in a selforganized way
  • Helping the team implement the right tools to achieve even higher levels of quality (automatized testing, CI/CD, technical and nontechnical tools to improve the quality of life of the team and the organization)
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution or being judged with an emphasis on problem solving and improvement, facilitating discussion, decision making and conflict resolution, championing training, capitalization and flow improvement
  • Supporting internal and external communication, transparency, inspection, adaptation and collaboration. Promoting measurement of outcomes, flow and competency.
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog, building the MVP and the roadmap

Desired Background and Skills:


Experience:

-
3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in at least two different teams


Skills:


  • Strong level of English and French
  • Mastery of agile principles (practices and theory) and frameworks : Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills (and patience)
  • Being used to remote and multicultural teams
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile techniques, tools and artifacts : User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair Programing, Automated Testing, Retrospective, Serious Games, Jira, Burndown
  • Experience in facilitation (meeting, event, etc.) and conflict resolution
  • Scrum Master Certification (PSMI or more / SAFe SM / CSM or more / etc.)

Even better

  • Experience as an Agile coach
  • Having already delivered Agile training
  • Knowledge and experience with technical frameworks like Extreme programming
  • Technical background in order to help the team improve their practices
  • Mastery of technical tools and processes aiming to help the team
