Environmental Specialist - Paris, France - CGN EUROPE ENERGY

_Main Responsibilities_
As part of the Engineering and O&M department and the Technical Support Team, you will be primarily focussing on the environmental topics for all CGNEE portfolios spread in 6 countries in Europe.
In particular, you will intervene on:
- Work related to the Operation Teams
- Responsible for the environmental compliance of all assets in each country where the assets are located
- Supporting the operation teams in the implementation of environmental measures and ensure the followup of those measures during operation
- Manage all the environmental and noise studies in close relationship with the asset managers (organization, main contact with the suppliers, monitoring during the study, validation of the report)
- Manage the implementation of environmental measures / Definition of the mitigation strategy (E/R/C)
- Manage operational topics that could impact the environmental studies or the efficiency of all operational mitigation solutions (contact with OEM, any other involved third parties)
- Permanent research of smart and innovative mitigation solution
- Regulatory and research projects monitoring
- Work related to the environmental protection
- Coordination of ICPE inspections of all CGNEE French assets
- Participate actively to working groups and commission dedicated to the environmental topics (FEE association for example)
- Contributing to the ISO 14001 environmental management system (and its continued compliance and evolution) on all operational wind farms, involving close liaison with SHE and Operation Teams
- Ensure that subcontractors fulfilled CGNEE standards, both in term of contractual requirements and in term of SHE standards
- Act as a liaison on behalf of each site with local environmental regulatory authorities
- Assist in environmental due diligence reviews for potential renewable resource acquisitions
- Involved in the repowering projects for French wind farms within the Technical support team and BD department
Requirements_
Technical skills:
- Graduate or Master's degree in generalist engineering, environmental sciences, acoustics or Biology/Ecology
- Experience of 1/2 years in an environmental consultancy or with a developer/operator of renewable energy projects
- Project management
- Good knowledge of the impact of wind and solar plants on birds and bats, and the noise impact as well (1 year minimum)
- Knowledge and understanding of national and European environmental legislation, and Environmental Impact Assessment; strong knowledge and understanding of environmental issues, specialist of the environmental evaluation procedure applicable to wind energy projects
- Knowledge on ICPE regulation and procedure would be much appreciated
- Some academic knowledge in acoustics would be also appreciated
Interpersonal skills:
- Motivated, dynamic and honest, recognized care and diligence, strong organizational skills, autonomous, very good verbal and writing skills (English and French)
- Fluent in French. Ability to read, write and speak English to a very good level
- A valid driving license
