The Role

As the Director and Design Leader for Kyndryl Vital France, you'll build and lead a team of designers, researchers, and creative technologists to envision and break-through concepts into complex problems.

You'll lead Kyndryl Vital customer engagements, guide the team, and provide insights, ideas, and leadership at the CEO level.

You'll partner with Kyndryl business and account leaders, technical strategists, customers, and Kyndryl's alliance partners to define problems, imagine solutions and service blueprints, and enable all to bring these solutions to life.

You'll work with Kyndryl Vital France leaders to identify high-potential customer projects, and you will constantly look for more ways to add value to our customer's businesses.

We're in startup mode, so you'll have much influence over the ways of working locally and globally.

You'll play a critical role in realizing the promise of Kyndryl Vital by building a team of innovative experience designers, researchers, and creative technologists.

In addition, you'll be a critical leader in Kyndryl's design
- and co-creation-led transformation. You'll join a network of fellow global Kyndryl Vital Leaders where you can learn from each other, develop best practices and build the program together. You'll also have support from a global leadership team. But that's not all You'll join a design leadership community at Kyndryl that is creative, inspired and focused on realizing the promise of design as a force for transformation. Who You Are

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

A track record and portfolio of design leadership, including craft, strategic thinking, creative leadership, customer engagement, and inventive solutions in a variety of contexts

Experience working at the C-Suite and CEO levels

15+ years in human-centered design, design research, design strategy, and service design

Entrepreneurial mindset, thrive in ambiguity and enjoy 'first of a kind challenges.'

Systems-thinking problem-solver who looks through multiple lenses (business, people, technology, sustainability) and integrates those insights into innovative solutions

Business acumen and language to work with customers, define key business objectives and create high-level business cases

Experience working in complex technical environments with an interest in learning more

Lead multi-discipline teams through a service design and blueprinting engagement, resulting in experience-based roadmaps that enable technologists to dig more deeply into solutions

Broad and flexible toolkit for designing co-creation journeys to lead teams from exploration to ideation. Adept at creating new tools when needed.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills with clients and internal stakeholders

Attention to detail in the language and relationship dynamics of key stakeholders

Track record of team design, recruiting and management

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

Experience in both enterprise and agency worlds

Human behavior, change management, or other applied social sciences

Data science, AI/ML, algorithm design experience

Experience in DesignOps or otherwise experienced in design-specific processes and capabilities

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent portfolio

Preferred Education

MDM, MDes, MFA, dMBA or equivalent
