Javad Amirian

I am a seasoned technology leader with a wealth of experience in electronics, artificial intelligence, and robotics. As the Co-Founder and CTO of Vive Robotics, I am responsible for delivering Vive Tennis, the autonomous ball-retriever robot. This exciting mission allows me to continually develop and improve my technical background in computer vision and deep learning, while also honing my soft skills including team building, investor, and customer engagement.
I recently completed my Ph.D. at INRIA research institute in 2021 and I also make contributions to DecorAR, a start-up focused on using AI and augmented reality for interior design applications. My passion is creating innovative solutions that have a positive impact on society, and I am always seeking new opportunities to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations.

• CTO and Head of AI @ Vive Robotics: Led the development of the Vive Tennis Robot project, utilizing advanced computer vision and AI algorithms for efficient navigation and ball detection.
• Co-Founder of DecorAR @ Inria Startup Studio: Investigated relevant technologies and built the software stack for the Interior Design by AI platform, focusing on furniture compatibility and recommendation.
• Doctoral Researcher @ CrowdBot (EU H2020 Project): Developed tools for motion prediction using crowd simulation algorithms and deep learning models, contributing to safe navigation of social robots.
• Computer Vision Engineer @ PixBall (Previously Sepehr): Created image processing and machine vision algorithms, optimized camera calibration parameters, and developed video processing software for sports content analysis.
• Computer Vision Engineer @ Spad System Co.: Optimized and fine-tuned license plate recognition systems using OpenCV and OpenALPR engine, revolutionizing vehicle entrance and exit management.
