MISSION

RESPONSABILITIES
In Line with his management, the General Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management, monitoring and growth, including the following activities:

Prepare the budget, monthly P&L and KPI reports to be presented to senior management and ensure good financial control and accounting standards are met.

Organise team tasks, control all operations and control productivity to ensure efficient operation in the terminal

Implement and follow-up of compliance, safety instructions, risks identification and correction by the development of a QSSE action plan.

Develop, present and lead cost savings initiatives.

Implement growth initiatives and propose new business developments.

Be the main point of contact for local authorities, customs, and clients.

Oversee all depot activities, ensuring operational excellence by providing high-quality services and cost efficiency.

Coordinate timely handling of equipment in and out of the container yards.

Schedule maintenance of both the facilities and equipment.

Manage rosters and HR issues to maintain a good working environment.

PROFILE & COMPETENCES


Experience as manager of a logistics site, a minimum 10-year experience in logistics/maritime industry with a minimum 5-year management position.

Fluency in English and Arabic or French or Spanish

Excellent planning and organization skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule both individually and for the wider team

Experience in subcontracting and outsourcing transport services.

Prefered Skills

Bachelor's degree in logistics, business, operations, or related field, or significant experience

In-depth knowledge of logistics flows of the local market. Knowledge in trucking activities will be a plus.
