Overview


RepoClear is a market-leading REPO and cash bond clearing service for euro-denominated government bonds and a range of pan-European €GC baskets within
LCH SA (London Stock Exchange Group).

Established in 1999 as a clearing service for French government securities and repo trades, the service has since added the Italian, Spanish, German and Belgian markets In February 2019, RepoClear SA extended its clearing services to eight additional Euro markets, namely:
Austrian, Dutch, Finnish, Irish, Portuguese, Slovakian, Slovenian debts and Supranationals.

The service keeps growing by creating new products and integrating new counterparties, and is now at the heart of Securities financing market, with 90+ members in euro and non-euro jurisdictions.

CaLM is responsible for the management of all collateral arising from member's margins and default fund contributions.

The main objectives of the CaLM function are to:

- invest cash margin from clearing members with the prioritized objectives of Capital Preservation, Liquidity management and finally return;
- manage liquidity requirements of the CCP (Central Counterparty Clearing House, ie.
LCH SA) on a continuous basis
- perform the liquidation of collateral in event of a member default ; across all services

On the second hand, Collateral services are responsible for developing a customer-focused, flexible and efficient collateral management service offer. CaLM oversees the design of the long-term collateral strategies.


To leverage on both teams' expertise and better tackle challenges in
LCH SA, RepoClear and CaLM continental activities are jointly managed.

Description of the role


The role is to provide Agile Product Owner skills to contribute to the change roadmap of the two above described services of
LCH SA.

The role represents a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the clearing business with excellent opportunities to work on products analysis and interact with senior managers in preparation for delivering changes.


The role will be operating within the COO function responsible for setting, prioritising, and evaluating the work generated by business strategy and priorities to ensure output is focussed on high value delivery.

The role provides opportunities to work across Front Office, Product Development and Business Risk and vary from resilience and regulatory to business development.

The role will be based in Paris and could require some business trips to London. Main language could be either French or English (proficiency in English is necessary).

Product Owner skills requirement and missions

  • Take the lead of scrum teams as the Product Owner
  • Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and collaborators throughout the project and create requirements
  • Plan and prioritise product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate backlog of tasks adapted to the team capacity and velocity
  • Define product vision, fuel the roadmap building and update
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritise stories, epics and themes to ensure the work focuses on those with a maximum value in alignment with product strategy
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Work closely with Business Leaders and Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or return on investment
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
  • Play an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum standard methodologies and new trends
Product Owner requirements and qualifications

  • Previous working experience as a Product Owner
  • Indepth knowledge of Agile process and principles
