Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Production Systems Production Support Team Leader, the Production Systems Mechanical Production Engineer plays a leading role in solving complex production and manufacturing quality problems.
He/she is responsible for manufacturing processes and standards, and implements them by training shop floor staff and monitoring their proper implementation.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Production support: Day-to-day support for production technicians & Quality teams to unblock ongoing production
- Evaluation of technical solutions and implementation in compliance with manufacturing processes and standards local action or at subcontractors. Creation, implementation and control of manufacturing process and product quality (QN) performance indicators.
Follow-up & Implementation of product file evolution: Review and approval of design changes that may have an impact on current manufacturing or inventory. Feedback on the design of new products in relation to their manufacturability to mechanical design and industrialization engineers. Validation of technical files for new products.

Continuous improvement: Implementation of process improvements to achieve manufacturing excellence in areas such as process efficiency, cycle time reduction and productivity. Optimization of production processes for the mechanical part of product equipment.
Implementation of key elements of Lean methodology, such as:
standardized work instructions, line balancing, scheduling, and work sequence optimization (routing), training development matrix, value stream mapping, Kaizen / 5S exercises, pull processes, TPM, manufacturing cell design and rapid change management.
-Follow-up of field returns: Participation in the investigation, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective measures to resolve manufacturing quality problems detected during Product Quality Incidents at customer sites.
Qualifications:
The technical skills required are as follows:
Mechanics:Precise understanding of a mechanical assembly drawing and bill of materials- Basic knowledge of dimensioning mechanical parts.
Manufacturing:Gluing, Overmolding. Machining. Wiring. Welding

Hydraulics:Reading and interpretation of a hydraulic diagram. Knowledge of the rules governing the assembly of systems incorporating micro-hydraulics.

Instrumentation:General knowledge of physical phenomena. Physical instrumentation (sensors, acquisition chains). Data processing.

Electromechanics:Operation of AC or DC motors. Understanding of electromechanical vocabulary.

LEAN:Familiarity with LEAN continuous improvement tools.

IT/office automation:Pack-Office
- SAP
- GEMS (would be a plus).

Education and experiences:
- Engineering degree or Master required in mechanical
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Solid knowledge of machining/mechanical assembly processes.
- Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes and tools, mechanical parts assembly, electromechanical systems assembly, inspection and testing.
- Experience in creating standard assembly procedures, file management, production followup, planning and quality.
- Accreditation: Electrical Accreditation training certificate
