- Design, develop, modify, and evaluate options and make complex design recommendations for process development or enhancement using a variety of technologies, PLCs, Vision system and robotics,
- Analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests and evaluate results
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of automation systems to identify and resolve technical issues
- Document project specifications, procedures, and guidelines for future reference
- Take responsibility for planning, implementing and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- 5-7 years of experience in automation engineering or related roles, ideally within specific equipment companies
- Experience with automation technologies, including PLCs (Omron will be a plus)/ Visions (Cognex and Keyence)
- Engineering diploma in automation, electrical engineering and industrial computing
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to automation systems
- Proficiency in both French and English languages
