POSITION OVERVIEW:
The IRIS Project Manager


RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining a work plan that keeps the IRIS project on time and within budget within the portfolio of ITS projects


Specific responsibilities include:

  • Representing the university as the main project contact for external vendors and partners
  • Developing and maintaining the work plan
  • Organizing any meetings needed between University and partners and track minutes
  • Reporting to the IRIS Core (Steering) Team weekly
  • Tracking risks and their mitigation
  • Providing oversight and coordination of tasks in the work plan

OBJECTIVES
Coordinate with the Core Team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation
Manage workflow from specification through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
To coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements
Track risks and mitigation strategies
Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes


REGULAR DUTIES
Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects
Structure and manage integrated, multi-track project performance systems for multiple sub-projects, with an eye on overall progress
Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources—including third-party vendors and researchers
Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs
Report timely project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues right away and as necessary based on project work plans
Participate in the management of the full portfolio of IT projects


MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
5 to 10 years project management experience
Proven success working with all levels of management
Proven success managing projects across different business units
Proven experience implementing and delivering successfully multiple Enterprise SaaS products across the organization from start to end
Experience implementing best practices and follow standard methodologies
Ability to communicate well at all level of the organization (from SME to Executive team)
Strong attention to deadlines and details
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional certification—including PMP or PRINCE II
Previous success in managing a project involving data migration, integration, and multiple SaaS information systems
Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
Experience developing in-house platforms for internal processes
Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members' capabilities and skill sets.
Experience in implementing change management track within the overall project
Problem solving, creativity, analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills
French and English language proficiency
Experience in the higher education environment and Finance


Salary:
From 2,500.00€ per month
