ENTER THE GAME
You will join the Data Analytics team, part of a larger Data team which also includes Data Science, Data Product Management and Product Analytics teams.
You'll integrate a fast growing team of +30 passionate individuals tackling challenges of all sorts:
from scaling marketing campaign analytics to building complex customer segmentations to predicting the outcome of the next football game.
YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC
We are looking for a Lead Data Analyst to join our Safer Gaming Analytics team, whose role is to help improve detection and protection of risky gambling, a core topic for Betclic.
Working directly with the Safer Gaming department, your analysis will significantly contribute to defining a relevant long-term strategy for the department and to assessing its impact on our players.
The Safer Gaming Analytics team being a small team to date, you will be in charge of mentoring 1 Data Analyst and handling interactions with business stakeholders alongside with the Safer Gaming Data Product Owner.
Your mission will be:
- Partner with our Safer Gaming director and business leaders to deeply understand their challenges and help them drive their activity
- Deliver insightful analysis with convincing and actionable recommendations that will impact the product quickly
- Identify high value added opportunities to unlock business potential
- Develop decision making tools in a privacy first environment
- Mentor & help upskill the Data Analyst of the team, providing handson technical and business guidance
- Ensure high quality of team's insights and output, starting with yours
Some examples of recent analysis:
- How can we improve efficiency and relevancy of our risky gambling detection?
- How can we monitor & improve overall impact of our Safer Gaming policy on risky players?
- How to prevent our users from developing risky behaviour?
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
This job is for you if:
- You have a master degree in statistics / data analytics
- You have at least 4 years of Data Analytics experience during which you have provided relevant, actionable databased recommendations
- You are "business minded" you are able to make actionable and impactful recommendations
- You have a good analytical mindset, are rigorous, and synthetical
- You have great communication and presentation skills
- You are proficient in SQL & Python
- You are familiar with at least one Data visualization tool
- You are proactive and want to grow and keep learning
- You are able to manage projects on your own, and already experienced mentoring other data analysts and / or trainee
- You are agile and able to adapt to a fast pace environment
- Bonus:_
- You know a programming language
- You are aware of Git & versioning concepts
- You are keen on empowering gamblers to bet responsibly
WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS?**- You'll then be asked to pass the AssessFirst test (drive, fit & reasoning)
- You'll then meet 2 data team members: Xavier
- Senior Analytics Manager (and hiring manager) and Iouri
- Chief Data Officer
- After that, you'll meet key business stakeholders you would be directly working with
- Finally, Elodie will see you again for a final HR interview during which we'll discuss your AssessFirst test results
