Nissan has an international working environment with people from across the globe. Ahead of the 2018/19 season, Nissan became the first Japanese manufacturer to enter the serie of Formula E.

You will be attached to Nissan Formula E Team, a subsidiary of Nissan. Formula E is a single-seater motorsport championship for electric cars. Nissan Formula E Team is a race team that competes in the all-electric ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.


Role


Nissan Formula E Team is seeking a Workshop Manager (responsable d'atelier) to lead and oversee all workshop operations, parts management, logistics, and supplier coordination.

This pivotal role requires a background in automotive mechanics, experience managing teams, and a passion for motorsport.


Responsibilities

  • Direct link with all the key suppliers
  • Responsible of the budget of all his perimeter: consumables, servicing, new services, maintenance, etc
  • Organize and help on the logistics of the goods (cars, parcels, link with FEO/DHL) and relay the trackside team for specific duties like late freight, specific carriage, parts management, etc.
  • Fix and improve all the possible issues linked to the building and facilities
  • Manage all the service contracts of the site
  • Management of the complete company vehicle fleet
  • Overview the security of the people and the goods on site
  • Manage the stock of all the consumables
  • Global coordination of the workshop operations: mechanical, engineering, marketing
  • Help insuring a good communication and good connection with the team key people: chief mechanic, Team Manager, Team Coordinator, Travel coordinator, Team Director
  • Make sure the workshop is perfectly clean and fully functional
  • Organize the team specific training at the workshop
  • Global workshop planning overview (operations, maintenance, cleaning, improvement, etc)

Profile

  • Good knowledge of the motorsport business
  • Experience in motorsport
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with administrative work and common IT tools suite (MS office)
  • Rigor, energy and capability to motivate people
  • Capability to work in full autonomy to reach challenging targets
  • French Fluent
  • English Fluent
The position is based in France, in Viry-Chatillon.

This role includes work on weekends and outside of office hours, due to the nature of the business.
