**Duties**:
Working in the Facility Management section of the Embassy, the Electrical Maintenance Worker carries out scheduled and unscheduled electrical preventive maintenance and repair work to all mission buildings and facilities including residential owned and leased properties.

**Qualifications and Evaluations**:

- Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and components experience as an electrical apprentice or installer is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

- Maintenance and repair of power and lighting circuits associated with switchboards and control gear in single-phase and polyphase systems.
- Minor component replacement and repairs of motors, generators, controls, and recording instruments.
- Electrical testing procedures in circuitry and control devices to monitor, diagnose faults, determine continuity, insulation resistance, impedance, and capacity levels, all in accordance with US and host country regulations.
- Reading and working from engineering drawings, specifications, electrical schematics, control circuits and material list.

Lire et travailler à partir de dessins techniques, de spécifications, de schémas électriques, de circuits de commande et d'une liste de matériaux._
- Education Requirements:

- Un diplôme d'études secondaires est requis en plus d'une formation professionnelle dans un institut accrédité reconnu, formant des techniciens avec une spécialité en électricité._

English - Level II - Limited Knowledge is required / _Connaissance limitées requises._

French - Level III- Good Working Knowledge is required / _Bon niveau professionnel._

SKILLS AND ABILITIES (THESE MAY BE TESTED):

- Communication and interpersonal skills to answer queries from end-users.
- Ability to work as part of a team, work under pressure and a tight schedule.
- A flexible approach to work shifts and answer emergency calls at all hours.
- A valid French driver's license for at least 5 years is required.

**SALARY**: the **annual gross salary includes**: the profit-sharing allowance, the vacation allowance, the bonus allowance and the "Comité d'Entreprise" allowance.

**MEAL TICKETS**: Meal tickets have a face value of EUR 8.25/day. 60% of the daily amount is paid by the U.S. Government. An employee contribution of EUR 3.30 per ticket will be deducted in payroll. The number of meal tickets is limited to 202 workdays per year.

**TRANSPORTATION**:Employees are eligible for a reimbursement of 50% of the cost of public transportation passes purchased for commuting purposes.

**HOLIDAYS**: The U.S. Missions in France observe eleven U.S. holidays per year and up to ten French holidays.

**For EFMs**, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
