The Industrial Academy Manager will be responsible for the success of the knowledge management (KM) framework implemented across site operations and will drive continuous improvement of this framework in collaboration with key stakeholders.


Objectives
The Industrial Academy Manager will strengthen the exchange of knowledge across site operations and other organizations where applicable.

The Industrial Academy Manager will be responsible for the continued development and implementation of the Industrial Training Curriculum encompassing processes and methodologies covered within the functions Manufacturing and Process and Manufacturing Engineering.


Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and set the direction of the Industrial Academy curriculum construction and deployment
  • Engage with the WCM community to catalyze expertise and build a network of trainer
  • Develop a robust competency matrix with focus on core and emerging competencies for the Industrial Scope
  • Create, capture, organize, and assess knowledge gaps at global, region & site level; Participate in building Training modules in order to fill captured gaps, and drive key competencies within the Industrial Scope
  • Coordinate with all cross product lines Academies to align Industrial Academy strategy with broader organizational learning strategies.
  • Build and drive the culture of knowledge sharing within site operations and establish a Industrial Learning network with the Rolling Stock & Components sites.
  • Develop a robust roadmap strategy for implementing knowledge management that builds upon industry best practices and leverages tooling and process advancements.
  • Evaluate, revise, and continuously improve the Industrial Academy as procedures & the industrial organization evolve.
  • Understand and recognize key challenges/roadblocks to Industrial Academy deployment, drive cultural change and develop effective programs to ease adoption.
  • Identify and share at company level the success stories from the Industrial Academy Program.
