Context

:


Within the "Information System" Expertise Center, CTM Solutions (Contract and Transaction Management) is building and maintaining the suite of systems and tools that allow GEM to partake in its trading activities. Covering a wide range of activities (from Booking to Post Trade), and the full gamut of commodities (PPA, Power Asset, Gas Asset, Long Term Contract, Full Supply Contract, Biomass, LNG, OTC Exotic and Vanilla, Market Operations, etc ), CTM has been actively modernizing the IS landscape in recent years, through the replacement of its legacy trading platforms ("Meteor" and Sungard "Zynet") by Orchestrade.

The IS Gemstone Risk & PL Core Team is actively working on this brand-new and still fast evolving Orchestrade software.

It aims at providing a state-of-the-art pricing, Risk and P&L framework in Orchestrade for all commodity payoffs designed in strong relationship with the editor.


Role

:

Working in strong collaboration with various interlocutors from the software editor Orchestrade, internal development team and Front Officers (Quantitative Analyst/Developers and GEMS traders), we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst whose main activities and responsibilities are:

  • New migration stream from Meteor/Zynet to Orchestrade:
  • Perform the landscape analysis for FO desks on Pricing, Risk and P&L functions
  • Define with business the MVP in terms of target Risk & P&L/P&L Explain target solution in accordance with the deadline of the project
  • Assess and discuss with the editor in case further development are needed to improve risk/P&L management in Orchestrade
  • Synchronize work with Quantitative team in charge of developing the inhouse pricing library to plug to Orchestrade's payoff and provide guidance to internal development team in charge of pricing integration component (including testing of developments)
  • Participate to the UAT phase: onboarding of new users and final testing before migration.
  • For activities already migrated in Orchestrade:
  • Second level support in case of production issue
  • Work closely with other IS teams in charge of restitution of pricing output to end users (dedicated tools for FO maintained outside the team, other restitution tools used for Risk or Finance functions)

Hard skills:

Must have

:


  • Strong knowledge on pricing/risk function on at least 1 asset class (FX, rates, equity )
  • Previous experience on a Business Analyst role or an ITQuant position.

Good to have

:


  • Knowledge of commodity products would be a plus
  • Previous experience on a trading progiciel.
  • Knowledge on Grid computing would be a very appreciated plus.

  • Over 3 years' experience as Business Analyst, preferably on Risk & PL functions
