    Description

    Darwin Recruitment are currently hiring for a Mechanical ad Thermal Engineer on behalf of a company in Toulouse that was founded in 2017 that currently has a head count of 42 looking to expand to 50+ by the end of 2024. The company develops state of the art antennas for the satellite constellation market and for launchers. They currently have x2 products with the first being for Navigations where you are building an electronic low noise filter platform to attach to their antennas and the other being an X-band active payload telemetry Antenna.

    About the position

    Within the Technical Projects Department, the Mechanical & Thermal Engineer contributes to the completion of projects by developing the mechanical and thermal architecture of antennas, which are key components for satellite communication. As a technical expert in their specialized field, they are responsible for the technical choices proposed for projects in the design office and provide technical advice and support to other departments.

    Missions

    · Intervene at various stages: studies, preliminary and detailed design, organization of manufacturing and testing in direct collaboration with partners; preparation for industrialization

    · Implement the necessary analyses and tests to verify their robustness against severe environmental constraints, such as launch vibrations and thermoelastic constraints during its orbital life

    · Validate/arbitrate proposed technical solutions and approve them

    · Collaborate as a team with other engineers who have complementary expertise (RF, prototyping, and testing)

    · Maintain direct communication with the companies industrialization and production departments, suppliers, technical partners (manufacturing, assembly, testing), and customers (industrial clients, space agencies, etc.)

    · Contribute to the skill development of teams in your specialized field. In support of the Innovation & Pre-sales Department (on bids and tenders in their specialized field)

    · Participate in pre-sales meetings with clients and provide technical advice to guide them towards a solution that aligns with constraints (performance, lead time, budget, quality requirements) and the business roadmap

    Profile Required

    · Engineer or Ph.D. in Mechanical & Thermal Engineering,

    · Experience in mechanisms

    · Has worked for more than 5+ years in R&D, preferably in the aerospace field.

    · He/she stands out for their significant contributions to highly technical projects and has expertise in CAD tools and mechanical analysis.

    · Ability to work effectively in a team with a knowledge-sharing approach is well established, as is their rigor and synthesis skills.

    · Inquisitive, possessing a strong service-oriented mindset and a sense of responsibility, both towards clients and partners.
