ITER is a unique, first of a kind project that aims to demonstrate the technical and scientific feasibility of fusion energy.


Jacobs one of three partners making up the Consortium MOMENTUM (construction management-as-agent contractor) is project managing the construction and assembly of more than one million components in world's largest fusion reactor.


As construction management-as-agent contractor, MOMENTUM is managing the construction and assembly of the first full-scale test reactor to include balance of plant and the Tokomak itself.

Jacobs is recruiting for a Supervisor with at least 3 years of experience to work on the ITER Project near Aix-en-Provence, France.


He/She will be responsible for:

  • Follow the progress of the works and participate to the in site meetings
  • Analyse the risks and ensure safety in the workplace
  • Understand the construction program and propose any adjustments to the activities in order to maintain the preestablished deadlines for the delivery of the works
  • Help the work coordination team for the interpretation of the work
  • Manage the deliveries of the materials on site
  • Communicate with the different CMA and ITER managers to obtain and pass essential information for the coordination of the different construction sites

Please note the job offer would be based on a local French contract - this would not be an expatriate assignment.

General skills**:

  • Desire to expand your knowledge and take on different responsibilities on international environment
  • Graduate as general Engineer or mechanical, electrical or instrumentation & control disciplines.
  • Familiarity with quality control work practices
  • Able to read and review installation schedules to comply with the contract terms of the works.
