We're actively seeking an experienced Level Designer to take charge of crafting and delivering captivating levels.
From conceptualizing on paper maps to executing in the game engine, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the fun and high-quality experience players crave.
An inherent passion for puzzle platformers, a track record of shipping successful games, and extensive proficiency in Unreal Engine are prerequisites for this role.
What you'll be doing:
- Own the creation of the player experience in the levels, from paper maps and early block out to final quality in the engine
- Integrate gameplay ingredients and systems in the levels, ensuring the player experience is engaging and balanced
- Work with artists to ensure that the level will deliver on the artistic vision of the title
- Contribute through feedback and ideas to define a unique experience.
- Ensure the proper technical functioning of levels to meet performance and quality objectives
- Define and share level design best practices with other designers
- High affinity for platform puzzle games like Inside, Little Nightmares, Unravel or It Takes Two
- 3+ years' experience working in video games in a similar role
- Ability to share and receive feedback, and to contribute to a creative environment.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to selfcritique
- Be solution oriented and have good problemsolving skills
