    We are looking for a Group R&D Controller to join our Finance.

    Reporting to the Group Controller

    Main responsibilities

    Budgeting: Co-Creating, governing, and reporting budgets for R&D projects and innovation with Engineering Heads/Program Management,

    Financial Analysis: Analysing the costs and benefits of R&D initiatives, providing insights to senior management on the financial impact of R&D investments,

    • Representing Finance within the Project Management Organization and support Project Management for economical and finance tasks,
    • Cost Control: Identifying opportunities to optimize R&D spending while maintaining the quality and progress of projects,

    Compliance: Ensuring that R&D expenditures adhere to relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, and that documentation is in place for tax credits or incentives related to research activities,

    Reporting:

    • Preparing regular financial reports and forecasts for R&D projects, communicating financial performance to stakeholders, and making recommendations for adjustments, if necessary,
    • Participating to the month end closing process,

    Collaboration

    • Liaise with the R&D and Finance teams (France, China, Bulgaria and Japan)
    • Collaborating with R&D teams to understand their financial needs and challenges and working together to achieve strategic objectives,
    • Provide support for elaboration of new products business plan to Marketing, Sales, and R&D teams,
    • Provide support for costing on new products,
    • Participate to the development of Finance competencies into "non-finance" teams,

    Risk Management: Assessing financial risks associated with R&D projects and implementing strategies to mitigate them,

    Data management and reporting/forecasting: contribute to corporate and R&D related digitalization projects,

    Strategic Planning: Contributing to the development of R&D strategies by providing financial insights and participating in decision-making processes.

    Profile

    • Engineer with solid financial skills, or University degree in Controlling and Accounting,
    • 5 to 10 years successful track record in an Industrial company in a similar position,
    • Familiar with costing methodologies,
    • Fluency in English is a must,
    • Strong Excel and Power BI skills,
    • Precise and accurate working style,
    • High analytical & conceptual competences,
    • Acts with pro-activity and autonomy,
    • You enjoy the operational aspects of a business,
    • Good communication, team worker mindset.
