Our suite of platform-based innovative digital solutions (web, mobile app, dev toolkits, etc....) allows airlines to deliver the best online booking and servicing experience to their passengers, with an aim to enhance customer satisfaction and build loyalty. Digital represents a key area of investment for Amadeus. Growth, innovation and diversification are critical to attain and maintain a position of leadership against many fast moving competitors. The Digital organization is large and diverse: more than 800 people over multiple sites (NCE, LON, BLR, BHO, BOG...). To better respond to our business challenges, the working model is fully in Agile mode, now extended to large scale SAFe mode, grouping both Airlines Commercial organizations and R&D in the same Digital trains.

    Following SAFe principles,Digital Backbone trainis providing the key components ofDigital Experience Suite platformused by other digital trains to build services and products. This platform is as well used by our customers for co-development, configuration and customization. End goal is to offer an open platform in self-service mode allowing airlines to be fully autonomous if they wish.In addition the train alsodelivers the core components for enabling software development,integrationanddeployment,data enablementand themutualized platform operabilityfor the entire Digital (TTX and Services) organization.

    As part this train, theexistingDevOps Experience team (DOP) provides theDevOps enablersfor the digital tribe including tooling, frameworks, recommendation & expertise. It encompasses areas such as local development, testing, continuous integration and deployment, operational support.

  • DevOps enablers & empowerment for the overall TTX organization (tooling and processes)
  • Servicing Continuous Integration & Delivery
  • Amadeus / Customers Co-Development toolchain
  • Amadeus / Customers web application deployment, hosting, monitoring, alerting and troubleshooting solutions
  • Operating Models evolutions (Git/Fin/Sec-Ops solution, new models coming from the co-dev).

    Summary of job description

    In order to continue to deliver high quality features,we are looking for a Product Owner to join the DOP teambased in Nice and working in a full Agile (SAFe) environment.

    The Product Owner is responsible fordefining storiesandprioritizing the team backlogwhile maintaining theconceptual and technical integrityof the features or components for the team. As Product Owner, you will promote and support DevOps model: driving the vision for the organization, by designing tools and frameworks.

    This role has tight relationships not only with the Developers community, but also with our SRE teams.

    You will also collaborate in enhancing and maintaining the deployment, hosting and monitoring of the DES applications on the Digital Platform working closely with the train Product Managers and other stakeholders.

    The candidate will join theSoftware and Product Engine team (SPE). This team is composed of transversal people having expertise in several technical domains, such as cloud technologies, database, automation, continuous integration and improvement of engineering experience.

    Main responsibilities

    As a Product Owner, you will have todrivethe team by drawing thevision of the future of the DES platform. Having an overallfunctional and technical understandingof the different blocks and flows in the organization, you will work with different type of stakeholders (Epic Owners, developers, other POs, architects, experts, Business Owners, Product managers) on scoping and PI preparation.

  • Elaborate and explicitly communicate over products goal and vision
  • Create and clearly communicate the backlog items
  • Validate the stories once they are delivered
  • Manage backlog and ensure stories are ordered by priority
  • Help prepare PI Planning event
  • Animate discussions alongside team's stakeholders during Program Increment Planning
  • Participate and animate discussions with other teams and/or customer to gather feedbacks.

    • Skills needed

    Previous experiences

  • A previous experience as Product Owner and coordination / project management is a plus
  • A past experience leading to a deep understanding of DevOps tools, practices and technologies
  • Experience of Agile/Scrum methods is required, experience within SAFe organization (or similar) is a plus.
