Job Description:
The dynamic nature of the tasks performed by the CAD Custom Design team will make this internship very diversified by offering the possibility to contribute to different aspect of the CAD work in relation with PDK (Process Design Kit) and EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tools.
Indeed, by understanding the fundamentals of integrated circuits process technologies and design flows, you will participate to the installation and customization of outside foundry PDKs (TSMC/ UMC/ GF/ etc).
In addition, you can be involved to develop and maintain PDK including the creation of technology files, symbols, programmable layouts (P-Cell), and input validation.
The EDA aspect of the job will make you develop automation utilities using Cadence SKILL or Python programming languages and use design tools (like to run physical verification - DRC, LVS).
Requirements/Qualifications:
Technical skills- Programming knowledge, understanding of electronic fundamentals and familiarity with EDA tools used in CMOS design- Knowledge of Cadence tools- Experience with Python and/or SKILL programing languages
Personal skills- Team spirit- Ability to learn new technical skill and work in a fast-paced team environment- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Fluency in English
