The Curie Institute Research CenterThe "Institut Curie" is a major player in the research and fight against cancer. It consists of a hospital and a Research Center of more than 1000 employees with a strong international objective of the Curie Institute Research Center is to develop basic research and to use the knowledge produced to improve the diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutics of cancers as part of the continuum between basic research and innovation serving the patient.Laboratory
The Laboratory of Excellence (LabEx) DEEP (Development, Epigenesis, Epigenetics and Potential) brings together two research units Nuclear dynamics (UMR3664) and Genetics and Developmental Biology (UMR3215/U934), 14 research teams from the Institut Curie. Created in 2012 as part of the "Investments for the Future" program set up by the French National Research Agency (ANR), this scientific excellence cluster implements a research and training program in the field of developmental biology and genome organization on various experimental models. Missions
The Manager of LabEx DEEP is placed under the supervision of the scientific coordinators of the LabEx, Geneviève Almouzni (UMR3664) and Pierre Léopold (UMR3215/U934). He/she will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the LabEx DEEP:
Coordination of the administration of the LabEx DEEP
· Organize the meetings of the LabEx steering committee
· Ensure implementation of the decisions of the Steering Committee, in liaison with the relevant contacts:
· Technology Transfer and Collaborative Scientific Projects Coordinator of the LabEx DEEP, HR Department, Financial Department, Administrators and Managers of the Research Units, Training Unit, Communication Department, external contacts
· Liaise with external institutions (PSL University, ANR, CNRS, Inserm, other LabEx)
· Writing and submitting annual activity reports for PSL University
LabEx DEEP actions
·Assesment of LabEx DEEP projects funded in internal calls : definition and drafting of guidelines and frames for reporting
· Support for training activities in collaboration with the Institut Curie's training unit and assessment
· Organization of national and international scientific conferences, seminars with invited speakers and asssesment
· Career development and other activities with the training advisory board: Follow-up and assesment
· Participation in discussions on the future strategies of the LabEx.
· Assessment of actions and tools made for science communication with the public and their re-use.
· Updating and consolidation of the LabEx website and social media pages.
· Labex final report and consolidation of interim reports
Budget and HR management
· Manage the LabEx budget (monitoring, transfers, orders, compliance with eligibility of expenses)
· Reporting on expenses – consolidation of interim reports and final Labex report with the financial department.
· Funding applications (communication, training, scientific networks)
· Participate in contract requests and follow-up of salary commitments with the HR.
· Support for LabEx recruitments - new team leaders, engineers, etc.
Training and experience required
· Minimum level Master 2, PhD preferred, engineering degree or BTS management
· Proven experience in the scientific academic environment (training, research)
Skills required
· Project management, management, communication, events
· Use of computer/office and web tools, videoconferencing systems, document sharing
· Fluent English/French essential (working languages), written and oral
· Organization, autonomy, rigor, versatility, team work and diplomacy
