ITER is a unique, first of a kind project that aims to demonstrate the technical and scientific feasibility of fusion energy.

Jacobs one of three partners making up the Consortium MOMENTUM (construction management-as-agent contractor) is project managing the construction and assembly of more than one million components in world's largest fusion reactor.

As construction management-as-agent contractor, MOMENTUM is managing the construction and assembly of the first full-scale test reactor to include balance of plant and the Tokomak itself.

Jacobs is recruiting for a
Completion Engineer (F/H) with
at least 7 years of experience to work on the ITER Project near Aix-en-Provence, France.

He/She will be responsible for:

Takes direction from and interacts directly with the CMA Completions Functional Lead
Works operationally with the Project Delivery Team and reports to the CMA Project Delivery Manager
Responsible for the preparation, monitoring and closure of Mechanical Completion activities for all the items under the scope of the assigned Project Delivery Team
Responsible for monitoring inspection and test records issuance progress
Responsible for the acceptance of final walkdown results
Responsible for the acceptance of Mechanical Completion Dossiers provided by the Contractors
Manages punch lists up to acceptance and turnover to Commissioning team
Support the construction and quality teams to secure Mechanical Completion at close of the construction phase
Maintain a strong commitment to the implementation and perpetuation of the ITER safety program, values and ethics
Form strong relationships with client representatives and Contractors

Here's What You'll Need:

Specific skills**:

Field experience of International Mechanical Completion and/or Commissioning for the delivery and testing of materials, equipment and systems in a large scale construction project
Experience in quality assurance/ control fields (management, review or use of ITPs, ITRs, quality standards)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a multicultural environment
Fluent in English, with additional French preferred

General skills

Ability to provide clear and concise direction
Organized and structured
Ability to solve complex technical issues with many stakeholders
High technical knowledge of system engineering in a highly regulated environment, preferably nuclear with safety requirements
Multiculturally aware
Capability to understand and fulfil customer needs (that may be expressed either formally or informally) and achieve full client satisfaction
Strong sense of situational awareness
Performance driven
