    What would you work on ?Context
    GitGuardian offers an extensive code security platform.

    With a strong expertise in secrets detection in source code and other data sources, we also provide IaC scanning, SCA capabilities and offer a unique HoneyToken feature.

    GitGuardian also has a Public Monitoring offer to allow any company to monitor their developers activity on public GitHub and look for leaked credentials in this perimeter.

    The products are used by different teams : Software Development, Ops, Application Security, Threat Response and the buying decision comes from CISOs / CTOs / Directors of Security.

    As a Staff Engineer and along with 5 fellow seasoned teammates, you will BE a key member of our engineering team, responsible for providing technical leadership, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring engineers.

    You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, high-performance solutions that meet our business objectives and exceed customer expectations.

    Missions

    • Staff engineers are part of tribes, managed by Engineering Managers (EMs). Weekly meetings are held to track the progress of transverse projects.
    • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex technical solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
    • Drive architectural decisions, technical strategy, and best practices across the engineering organization.
    • Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence.
    • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver innovative solutions that address customer needs.
    • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
    • Identify technical challenges and proactively propose solutions to address them.
    • Stay uptodate with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in software engineering and apply them to enhance our products and processes.
    • Do handson software development.
    • Maintain and ensure an excellent quality of code and healthy codebase.
    • Participate in the growth of our engineering teams We are growing fast and we need you to support our continued growth in 2024.


    Our technical stack includes mostly Python/Django, GO, RabbitMQ for backend; PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch for databases; React/Typescript for frontend; and Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS or OVH for infrastructure.

    @.**- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred

    • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of designing and delivering scalable, highperformance systems
    • You are experienced working with the following : web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems
    • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Like us, you have a dynamic and proactive personality, always willing to help your teammates
    • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams
    Bonus points

    • You have prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role
    • You like building tools for developers
    • You have experience building security products
    • You're eager to conference or meetup speaking inside or outside the company
    • You don't hard code API keys in your code
