Job description:


  • The job is based in Nikon-Essilor, a joint subsidiary of Essilor, world leader in vision correction, and Nikon, the wellknown specialist in optics and imaging products. This subsidiary is in charge of the production and sales of Nikonbranded eyeglass lenses, sold in Japan and in about 50 countries worldwide.
  • The person in charge of Market and Competitive Watch works with colleagues of the Global Marketing, Japan Marketing, Branding and R&D to define a program of market monitoring and analysis as support of the activity of these departments.
  • You will be in charge of the following missions:
  • Competitive Watch includes:
- understanding of main competitors offer = product portfolio, communication, price, strategies in Japan and key market overseas
- identify needs for technical analysis of competing products,
- interact with main subsidiaries abroad and with the Competitive Watch team in France's head office
- organize information for use by marketing and sales teams

  • Market research includes:
- prepare briefs and follow field work for market research done in-house or through 3rd party suppliers
- perform some direct field research
- analyse raw information available such as panel data, sales records.

  • Support to the other activities of the Department:
  • Compilation of information, product files, training modules supporting the Instruments and Digital tools activities

Profile:


  • You are preparing or have already obtained your Master's Degree in Marketing or International Business.
  • To succeed in this mission, you will have to be someone with a strong sense of autonomy, rigor, organisation and also a strong capacity of synthesis. You must be comfortable with figures and making sense out of them, but also with technical topics.
  • Fluent English is a must have and Japanese would be a plus
