    Profile

Sandvik Coromant, part of Sandvik Machining Solutions, is the world's leading supplier of tools, tooling solutions and know-how for the metalworking industry. With extensive and strategic investments in research and development, and an eagerness to always search for improvements, we create unique innovations and set new productivity standards together with our customers in the major automotive, aerospace and energy industries. We guide and support our customers to the most sustainable solutions, and this is key in how we continuously strengthen our brand. Working in a truly diverse environment, spread across the globe, opens for many exciting possibilities to encounter new people, cultures and business opportunities.
Within our Offer Management and R&D organization, we're specialists in modeling of hard materials and the metal cutting process. By combining our shared knowledge, solid product development, innovative ideas and an appetite for digitalization and sustainability, we enhance our portfolio based on both customer and market needs. To continue our evolution, we're now looking for a commercially minded and business-focused Vice President for Offer Management and R&D
. A great chance to shape the future together with us by driving change and development of our next generation of smart technologies, tools and solutions.
By working together with our customers, we turn technology into human progress, and knowledge into meaningful value – having the ambition to develop and implement state-of-the-art manufacturing solutions for a more efficient, sustainable and prosperous world. Quite simply, shaping the future together
    Your mission
In this central position, you lead the organization with a global and cross functional mindset – yet from a one company perspective – towards a truly collaborative environment. This includes transforming customer needs and our technical expertise into commercially profitable concepts and solutions that ensures return of investments. You continue to develop and drive our strategies, and you provide clear and customer-centric views of how to globally enhance our state-of-the-art offering and stay ahead of competition in the evolving technological landscape. Technology and product development are essentials for us, and you join forces with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure that our technology platforms are developed according to plan.
By keeping a holistic and agile approach, you're able to optimize both methodologies and ways of working – ensuring sustainability, quality, time and cost efficiency, and maybe even more importantly, lifting our performances, developing competence for the future and increasing our market leading position. You constantly touch base with our sales areas to understand the requirements and shifts in the market, and you capture current and future opportunities by continuing to develop business case supported offerings that add value to our customers.
Your role comes with a very broad network, and you're recognized as a promoter of great partnerships with suppliers, technology leading institutes and stakeholders in other divisions within the Sandvik Group. As a result-oriented, inclusive and inspiring leader, you coach and challenge your team – developing our people and the organization, as well as promoting a culture of change, learning and improvements.
You report directly to the President of Sandvik Coromant and are an active member of our management team. The location is flexible within Europe with preference for Sweden as this is where we have most of our organization. Presence in Sandviken and global travel is a natural part of the job.
    Your profile
We're looking for a qualified people manager with a relevant academic degree. Your previous career includes similar strategic and managerial roles within the areas of product management, product development, R&D, sales or production, and you're both comfortable and capable in interacting with multiple stakeholders, customers and partners. This is combined with strong skills in planning, execution and commercial business development, and you're used to realizing strategies, driving change and leading transformation programs. An understanding of metal cutting is needed, and you know our market, customers and products and can make accurate recommendations on future focus areas. Acting in a truly global arena, you need an open mind and cultural awareness, as well as great communication and presentation skills in English.
Your passion for business goes without saying, and you're confident, tactical and outgoing, while at the same time very organized and solutions oriented. Multi-tasking, making decisions and taking action are no match for you, and you keep a broad horizon as you drive a clear direction focused on quality, speed and profitability. As a leader, you bring an agile and collaborative mindset, the power to innovate and a strong foundation for development – both personally and for your team. Your genuine ways build trust in relations and always leave a positive impact among the people you meet. By excellent communication, you clarify our path, and you engage and inspire people to commit to our long-term strategy and future vision.
