    We are looking for a mechanical sizing engineer to join one of our agile multi-disciplinary teams in charge of the development of the stages of the Maia Launch Vehicle.

    In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical justification of pressurized and/or non-pressurized structures, mainly metallic, from the preliminary design to testing and flight-worthiness justification.

    Perform preliminary sizing of the main structures of the stage using analytical or simple finite element analysis to support architecture choices.

    Elaborate the load specification document based on stage life phases, functional data, thermal, dynamic, and flight loads.
    Define sizing worklogics consistent with the project maturity and contribute to the overall stage development logic.
    Ensure consistency in mechanical calculations of various structures of the stage.

    Perform simulations, analyze results, and combine load cases to be consistent with stage life phases during integration, transport, or in flight.

    Justify stage bolted junctions.
    Propose and define mechanical test plans, participate in tests, exploit test results, and update company knowledge database accordingly.

    Strong knowledge and experience in structural mechanics, finite element modeling and analysis, programming languages (Python, VBA), metallic material properties, and manufacturing processes.

    You will be joining a friendly multi-disciplinary team, comprised of multi-skilled people, following Agile and Scrum methodologies. Communication at MaiaSpace is conducted in both French and English.
