What will you be doing?

  • Assisting with the mandate of the Barclays Europe Chief Compliance Office (BE CCO) in key activities and processes, on behalf of the BE CCO
  • Providing onetoone support for the BE CCO in daytoday operational matters; engagements with BE ExCo, BE Company Secretary; and providing relevant briefings
  • Acting and leading as the secretary for the BE Compliance Risk Management Forum
  • Coordinating, managing and producing (as appropriate) all BE Compliance contributions to relevant BE and BE Boardlevel committees, forums and stakeholders
  • Contributing, delivering and overseeing work to discharge Compliance functional accountabilities in connection with firmwide Compliance Risk management tools
  • Maintaining management processes and helping in the MI and governance frameworks to assist the BE CCO in discharging his / her Senior Executive Management Responsibilities
  • Coordinating Compliance input and sign off for the Barclays Europe Annual Report and, ICAAP
  • Providing assistance and guidance on Executive level queries

  • Experience of working in an area of high regulatory focus
  • Logical and effective problem solving and decision making using appropriate judgement with customer centric outcomes taking a logical, considered approach to problem solving
  • Willingness to challenge processes and look for improvements
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to be clear and concise both orally and in writing

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience of European and/or other relevant regulatory environments
  • Experience of operating as part of a distributed, global team in a matrix organisation
