In these regards, we are now looking for a Firmware Validation engineer for our Radio Firmware development team in Caen


Your role

  • Develop the tools and automation infrastucture required for the software validation on Ultra-Wide Band projects
  • Ensure the correct execution of project tests, including test development and maintenance
  • Propose and develop automated test platform evolutions
This activity involves cross sites work, in a multicultural context. Ability to adapt to different customers culture as well as capacity to deal with dynamic priorities is key.


Required skills

  • Strong knowledge of programming languages: Python, C, C++, shell scripts (Linux, Windows)
  • Very good knowledge and experience in embedded software development and debugging
  • Ability to develop, review, execute, and debug FW tests running in an automated test environment
  • Willing to improve processes, especially test processes, toward speed and quality
  • Able to learn new technologies quickly (Ultra-Wide Band technology)
  • High level of commitment
  • Structured and analytical thinking
  • Willing to work cross sites in a multicultural context.
  • Capability to travel abroad for short period of time, on short notice
  • Good understanding of electronics (Analog/Digital, Board measurement, Verilog, μcontrollers, RF)


  • Recommended

  • Experience in radio firmware development (UWB, NFC, WiFi, Mobile platforms )
  • Knowledge of Jenkins automation platform
  • Experience in configuration management tools (SVN / Git)
