English Teacher at CentraleSupélec, specialising in English for the Workplace (full-time,

permanent faculty position)

Teacher specializing in English for the Workplace. As a full-time faculty member in the Department of Languages

understanding of the complex and evolving demands of today's world of work from both critical and intercultural

perspectives.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop an innovative pedagogical program that centers on the significance of the workplace in our lives
and the importance of intercultural communication skills in professional settings.

  • Encourage students to reflect on critical communication situations in the everchanging world of work,
while creating practical workshops around these themes.

  • Prepare students requiring English language support for the annual CentraleSupélec Forum, offering
specialized CV and Interviewing Skills Masterclasses, along with regular workshops throughout the

academic year.

  • Collaborate with other departments, particularly the thirdyear specialization tracks, to align the language
curriculum with their needs. Work closely with fellow third-year English teachers to ensure a cohesive

academic program.

  • Foster connections with CentraleSupélec alumni employed in Englishlanguage environments, enabling
them to share their valuable experiences and possible collaborations with the department.


Qualifications and Experience:


  • Preferably hold a Master's degree or possess an extensive professional portfolio demonstrating equivalent
expertise and methodologies.

  • Possess an English language teaching qualification or provide evidence of continuous professional
development and engagement with the language teaching community.

  • Demonstrate a C2 level of English proficiency.

  • Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in teaching English to higher education and adult learners, specific
experience in STEM environments would be a plus.

  • Specific experience in project management or learning and development or human resources.
