About the role:


DNV Safety advisory team for Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa (SEMEA) is seeking a talented trainee safety consultant for a period of
5 to 6 months.


In a very international context, safety advisory team provides support to companies acting in the energy sector and delivers a wide range of safety engineering, asset and enterprise risk management services, using a comprehensive range of tools for consequence modelling and risk analysis.

The role will be based in Paris. The trainee reports to a team leader.


In your role you will:


  • Participate in a great variety of projects across the entire energy value chain including innovative ones (hydrogen, ammonia, CO2, electrical, )
  • Increase knowledge about consequence and risk assessment tools and techniques (e.g. HAZID, EDD, DRA, QRA, FRA, ERA, Consequence Analysis and other formal safety studies), demonstration that risks are ALARP.
  • Support DNV customers in their critical decisionmaking process for aspects related to safety.
  • Actively seek to improve delivery processes through innovation.

About you:

To qualify, you need to be in your last year internship prior graduation for Master's degree in engineering or equivalent (Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Risk Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or other relevant).


Additional valuable qualifications:

  • Excellent numerical and strong analytical skills able to analyse and understand complex solutions and ideas using domain knowledge and a range of techniques/ theory and software/ tools.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills, in both French and English.
  • Flexible attitude to working in a fastpaced and multidisciplinary consultancy environment
