Infrastructure Project Manager - Marseille, France - ATG Europe
Description
The Project Manager shall lead, manage and supervise the entire service team;- Project Planning and Execution;
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders;
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables;
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure project milestones are met;
- Monitor project progress and address any deviations from the plan;
- Team Leadership and Management;
- Lead and motivate a team of approx. 40 technical professionals, including service desk technicians, telecom and videoconferencing technicians, system administrators, and network operations personnel;
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and highperforming work environment;
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for skill development;
- Stakeholder Communication;
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer and major stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and external vendors;
- Communicate project (service delivery) status, risks, and issues effectively, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals;
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress;
- Risk Management;
- Identify potential risks and dependencies associated with infrastructure projects;
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize project disruptions;
- Proactively monitor and address issues as they arise to prevent delays or cost overruns;
- Vendor Management;
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure hardware, software, and services as needed for project implementation;
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure compliance with project requirements and budget constraints;
- Evaluate vendor performance and make recommendations for improvements or changes as necessary;
- Quality Assurance;
- Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure systems;
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and adherence to industry best practices;
- Work closely with internal teams to address any issues or deficiencies identified during testing and validation;
- Continuous Improvement;
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies;
- Leverage feedback from stakeholders and lessons learned from past projects to refine processes and methodologies over time.
- Completed vocational training or a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another relevant domain;
- At least 10 years of work experience, including at least 3 year of work experience in a similar role;
- Extensive experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on largescale projects;
- Strong leadership and team management skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
- ITIL 4 Foundation, PMI, Prince 2 certifications are an asset;
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
- Eligibility to work and live in the EU.
