    Solution Analyst represents a link between Business representatives and Technical team to help business in implementing and deploying solutions in a cost-effective way by analysing, defining and documenting the technical requirements fulfilling business needs.

    To meet functional requirements, he/she designs solutions, oversees developments, validates that the solution answers business needs and provides functional support for the solution.

    Solution Analyst / Application Owner Deputy represents a link between Business representatives and Technical team to help business in implementing and deploying solutions in a cost-effective way by analysing, defining and documenting the technical requirements fulfilling business needs.
    To meet functional requirements, he/she designs and proposes solutions, validates technological specifications, oversees developments, validates that the solution answers business needs and provides functional support for the solution.
    The DIP Finance component is a key element of the value-chain of the SCOR Finance crew which hosts Finance Data and operation for all SCOR businesses (L&H, P&C and investment). It is a data integration platform based on IBM IAS technology which purpose is to centralize in a transversally consistent and secured way all the reinsurance technical information produced by the different tools involve in the chain.
    This platform aggregates the results produced by the various systems, ensures a minimum level of reconciliation between them but, more than a simple data warehouse, it offers quality control services on the loading, orchestration, historization and cartography and provide the Business teams with strong reporting capabilities.
    It stores the IFRS17 parameters (Yield Curve, Risk Adjustment ratio, etc.) used by the Life and P&C Divisions, the quarterly results of their IFRS17 calculations, but also their operational data (contracts, technical accounting, settlements, etc.) which are used in daily.
    It also hosts a Reserving Data Ware House to historize, standardize the L&H cashflows.
    The DIP Finance Solution Analyst will have to maintain the architecture of that component, ensure the transversal solution design in respect of business requirements and client systems in the value chain.
    This position will require the capacity to manage complex functional exchanges with Business counterparts as well as management skills in order to monitor the activities of the squad, but also some technical skills to control the architecture, validate design choices and put in place the appropriate approach to address Business support requests.

    Key duties and responsibilities

    Management

    • You coordinate activities with the other SCOR IT-Functional squads and with SCOR IT-Technical squad.
    • You participate to the governance and lead some of the instances.
    • You identify potential risks, monitor existing issues and put in place the appropriate mitigation plan.

    Design/Implementation/Delivery/Run

    • You guarantee the transversal solution design to ensure solution consistency.
    • You identify with the support of IT experts the non-functional User Stories and make it prioritized by the PO.
    • You validate the implementation and support effort in order to plan all activities in the frame of the different sprints.
    • You control quality of the documentation.
    • You validate and monitor the eventual upgrade approaches of technical components contributing to the platform architecture.
    • You define with the support of Business experts the most appropriate functional monitoring procedure for the platform services and the corresponding KPI's.

    Testing

    • You control of the unitary testing done by the squad.
    • You monitor the business acceptance test.
    • You define and monitor with the support of the test lead the performance testing activities.

    Experience:

    • Starting 7-8+ years of project management experience, in the software development lifecycle on systems which directly support business initiatives, with architecture and integration components, in an international context
    • Be client-oriented and engaged to meet challenging deadlines
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated problem-solving and strong analytical skills

    • Technical / Professional Knowledge - having achieved a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; keeping up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise
    • Project Management - significant experience/skills in Agile project management.

    • Problem Solving - identifies and analyses issues, proposes and rolls out relevant solutions after appropriate approvals
    • Communication - knows how and when to develop/sustain a message and/or an idea (speaking and writing), uses the right tools to present information
    • Accountability - alerts, raises the critical points when needed, shoulders and corrects his/her decisions and shows responsibility regarding cost management
    • Reliability - checks his/her work, challenges the solution before submitting it on time and identifies/corrects the mistakes if needed
    • Open Mindedness - is interested in projects and business activities beyond his/her direct responsibility within the IT / technical scope

    Technical skills :

    • Exhibit good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and other digital applications
    • Skills in working with relational SQL databases

    Education

    • BA/MD technical degree in information services management, computer science, applied mathematics or related fields, or equivalent work experience
