Context:

Nissan has an international working environment with people from across the globe. Ahead of the 2018/19 season, Nissan became the first Japanese manufacturer to enter the serie of Formula E.

You will be attached to Nissan Formula E Team, a subsidiary of Nissan. Formula E is a single-seater motorsport championship for electric cars. Nissan Formula E Team is a race team that competes in the all-electric ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

The position is based in France, in Viry-Chatillon.


Responsibilities:


To reinforce our systems group, we are looking for a technician with strong capability to help our systems engineer as with the daily tasks at the workshop.


This key role in the car systems group will refer to the systems engineer and ultimately to the chief engineer.


As a system technician, you will be in charge to support the systems engineer in the task of preparing and calibrate sensors, operate different system bench, realize maintenance operations on car systems and in our simulators.


Main tasks:

Follow up and calibration of the sensors. Order new sensors, follow the wiring and servicing.

Develop the measurement and calibration methods

Deployment, follow up and maintenance of all the mechanical and electronic systems in our different simulators.

Deployment, follow up and maintenance of the different bench and measurement means at the workshop (brake dyno, dampers dyno, etc),

Maintenance and repair of the electrical harnesses, connectors and electronic cards is a plus

Follow up of the materials and tooling for the system group


Support the systems engineer in their different duties:
Follow up of the mileage and usage of each sensor

Update and follow the calibration database

Help on troubleshooting and writing specific documentation

Help on writing and update of the track procedures linked to systems

Programming (standard config) and mileage follow up of all the steering wheels

Help on specific projects like marketing car modification and preparation

Help on the development of specific tools (hardware and software)

Training on the different specific tools and support in case of needs


Profile:

Strong experience in a similar role

Autonomy, dynamism, and rigor.

Fluent in English.

We require a full-time person for our office located in Viry-Chatillon (suburb of Paris).

This role includes work on weekends and outside of office hours, due to the nature of the business.
