ITER is a unique, first of a kind project that aims to demonstrate the technical and scientific feasibility of fusion energy.

Jacobs one of three partners making up the Consortium MOMENTUM (construction management-as-agent contractor) is project managing the construction and assembly of more than one million components in world's largest fusion reactor.

As construction management-as-agent contractor, MOMENTUM is managing the construction and assembly of the first full-scale test reactor to include balance of plant and the Tokomak itself.

Jacobs is recruiting for a
Data Engineer / Product Owner (F/H) with
at least 3 years of experience to work on the ITER Project near Aix-en-Provence, France.

He/She will be responsible for:

Directly reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager,
The Data Engineer/product Owner will work on internal improvement projects in order to streamline the execution of internal processes, the tasks include:
Establish with end user the tool specification and objectives,
Design, develop and deliver tools/reports using Microsoft Office Suit,
Production of related quality documentation (working instruction, templates )
Update of access database

Here's What You'll Need:

Specific skills**:

Ability to interact (conversant) with multiple function representatives (e.g. DCC, PMO, IT) and to provide relevant technical input from his/her area of knowledge;
ITER tools (IDM, Smart Plan)
Office tools (Excel, Power Bi, Access)
Ability to develop/improve processes including production of related quality documentation (working instruction, templates ) and supporting tools
Ability to consolidate progress/performance records
Ability to interact with IT people for the development and improvement of solftware solutions (e.g needs expression, testing)

General skills:

Fluent in English with additional French preferred
Very organized and structured
Work experience internationally or in multicultural environments, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and creative solution and problem.
