CMA Ships, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, covers all facets of the maritime business: from the fleet management of the vessels to that of the crew members.


CMA Ships is also a team of experts responsible for implementing innovative solutions and making CMA CGM vessels more energy efficient.


The NAVCOM expert is the privileged interlocutor of vessels, CMA SHIPS Superintendents and transversal services (Technical Partners, Purchasing, HSE, Newbuildings, etc.) concerning the maintenance of Navigation and Communication equipment.


Main roles of the NAVCOM service:
Work in close relation with the Fleet IT Engineers, in charge of IT support for ships. NAVCOM is the only referent for all Navigation and Communication equipment (more than 40 in total). To do this NAVCOM is the main interlocutor between Superintendents, Ships and Makers. Most ships are under maintenance contract and NAVCOM retains control by coordinating services, facilitating exchanges and providing expertise for greater operational efficiency


Manage on-board interventions, with the various service providers contracted by CMA SHIPS (Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine and Wartsila SAM Electronics, but also non-contractual services).

Ensure cost control and budgeting from one year to the next:
services, overhaul, excluding RETROFIT Dedicated contacts within SPERRY and WARTSILA for faster consideration of needs.

Where NAVCOM is particularly involved in matters under maintenance contracts:
Risk assessment (ship navigation, RoN and PSC especially), considering ports and statutory given deadline for the intervention

Minimum qualifications

  • Fluent in English;
  • Master's degree in engineering;
  • Management or Project management skills;
  • Technically competent with various software programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc;
  • Knowledge required in its field of competences Experience
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in support for vessel in its field of competences.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a teambased environment.
