Description

As a legal intern, you will work conjointly with the Head of the Legal & Compliance Department as well as with senior lawyers of the team and will be dealing with a great variety of legal issues, including but not limited to contract law, corporate law, EU law, private international law, insurance law as well as dispute resolution (claim management, litigation, and arbitration).

You will be involved in each stage (acquisition, development, construction and operation) of renewable energy projects across Europe and Senegal.

You will be tasked to:

Daily follow up and summarize the projects we have across Europe and Africa
Conduct legal research on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to contract law, corporate law, EU law, private international law and insurance Law, as well as dispute resolution
Followup of weekly legal news related to the company's activities
Review and discuss commercial agreements in relation with a renewable energy project (including but not limited to power purchase agreements, development contracts, construction contracts, insurance policies, shareholders' agreements)
Participate to the daily meetings and deliver legal memos to the Senior Management Team of the Group
Liaise with external entities (law firms, advisers) and internal departments of the Group
Prepare answer to the request of other departments
Contribute to internal reporting to the Group and to the update of various legal risk assessments

Profile:

Qualifications:
Master's degree in contract law / private international law / business law (DJCE) (M2)

Interpersonal skills:

Strong oral and written communication skills
Organizational skills and detail oriented
Willingness to deliver high qualitative work in a timely manner
Ability to deal with high responsibilities
Eagerness to be involved in international and high scale projects
Comfortable with multicultural companies' environment.

Technical skills:

Office 365 with a good command of Word, Excel and PPT.
Sound knowledge of contract and corporate law
General insights on the renewable energy sector and its legal framework is an advantage.
