Role:

The position reports to the Finance Manager.

As a senior accountant, you will manage accounting and reporting for two of our European subsidiaries. You will ensure that financial statements you are responsible for comply with local accounting standards and US GAAP.


Main Responsibilities:


Accounting and Financial Management

  • Supervision and coordination of accounting activities for two European subsidiaries in compliance with closing schedules; production of accounting entries for monthly and annual closings.
  • Responsible for compliance with local and international standards (US GAAP).
  • Preparation of closing reports and continuous process improvement in collaboration with global finance teams and crossfunctional teams (Account payable and Account Receivables, tax, treasury, and shared service center accounting teams).
  • Support business teams in managing and controlling their activities.

Internal Control

  • Implement and maintain an effective internal control system.
- responsible for accounts reconciliation, including identification, and resolution of discrepancies related to these reconciliations.

  • Collaboration with internal and external auditors.

Process Improvement

  • Participate in Finance transformation team into an agile and efficient organization through projects or developing areas of expertise.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial and accounting processes.
  • Participate in international crossfunctional projects.

Required Skills:


  • ACA/ACCA/CIMAqualified or equivalent financial accounting studies
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an international group
  • Fluent in English is mandatory; German is a plus.
  • Knowledge of governance and internal control.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel required, including data mining tools and PivotTables
  • Experience in taxation is a plus (transfer pricing, corporate tax).
  • Experience in managing offshore teams is a plus.
