Vestiaire Collective is looking for a Staff iOS Engineer to join the Core Mobile team in Lisbon

Core Mobile engineers are in charge of aligning all feature team's mobile engineers toward good practices, targeted architecture, and quality standards.

We build and maintain transverse tools to support feature teams' projects and increase developer productivity and experience.

You will report to the VP Engineering of the Platform Collective. You will be instrumental in identifying and solving the most significant challenges and opportunities within our mobile platform.

Your focus will be on enhancing the developer experience, boosting productivity, refining our CI/CD pipelines and facilitating company-wide strategies and top priorities.

You'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks, such as defining and executing the Core Mobile team's roadmap, collaborating cross-functionally with different business areas and ensuring that our initiatives continuously deliver value.

As an example of the tasks you might take on, we have recently migrated our dependency management from Cocoapods to Swift Package Manager, streamlined our release process, enabled full support for Apple Silicon for developers and defined the targeted goals for our modularization journey.

Your role will include similar tasks, with an emphasis on constant improvement and innovation.

You'll not only be creating solutions for our product, but also improving the tools, processes, and practices that empower our iOS team to build better and faster.

What You'll Be Doing

Build and maintain tools to support the feature teams' projects and boost developer productivity.
Contribute to and influence the architecture and design of the mobile platform.
Advocate iOS best practices across feature teams to ensure highquality delivery.
You'll drive the technological evolutions by giving recommendations and inspiring our mobile team members.
Proactively explore and experiment with new frameworks or tools, stepping out of your comfort zone to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Address and remediate performance issues and bugs for improved functionality.

Who you are

You've been actively working as an iOS Developer for at least 5 years.
You have a thorough understanding of modern iOS development.
You can lead technical architecture discussions and help drive technical decisions.
You have great knowledge of Swift to write readable, maintainable and performant code
You are able to work autonomously, you like to keep yourself uptodate with the latest frameworks and tools.
You have deep knowledge of iOS UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
You have a proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
You have a computer science degree or equivalent work experience.
