- Taking ownership of the thermal modelling activities as the subject matter expert
- Setting up the simulation and analysis framework to support our spacecraft developments
- Participate in battery dimensioning by quantifying the consumption of the thermal control system during the entire orbital mission
- Identifying thermal architectures during early trade-offs
- Thermal analysis of various systems, subsystems, and components (full vehicle, propulsion components, structures, electronics, etc.)
- Maturing designs through conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases using active and passive thermal control techniques
- Interfacing with the mechanical and test teams to evaluate thermal control solutions (material selection, coatings, insulating materials, heaters, etc.)
- Generating thermal test plans, supervising test activities, and analysing test results
- Documenting your work in a clear manner to inform future tests and analyses
- 3+ years of experience in thermal simulation and analysis
- Expertise in thermal modelling through analytical and numerical methods
- Proficient user of thermal modelling tools (NX, Thermal Desktop, Systema, ESATAN/RAD, etc.)
- Being able to work in a highly iterative environment during early design phases
- Applied knowledge of thermal control solutions for orbital vehicles
- Hands-on experience with thermal testing (predictions, test specifications according to relevant international standards, guiding instrumentation location, data processing, and test-analysis correlations) is a plus
- As we have an international team, knowledge of technical English is required. Fluency in French is a plus
