Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Engagement Director to lead our strategic initiatives and partnerships within the aerospace industry, specifically focused on the French market. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the aerospace sector, combined with exceptional leadership and communication skills to drive engagement and collaboration on a global scale.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive engagement strategy tailored to the French market, aligning with global business objectives.
2. Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, industry associations, customers, suppliers, and academic institutions.
3. Lead cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and drive revenue growth.
4. Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, marketing, and product development to ensure alignment of engagement efforts with business goals.
5. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote brand visibility and thought leadership.
6. Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making and identify emerging opportunities.
7. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on engagement activities, performance metrics, and market insights.
8. Lead negotiations and contract discussions with strategic partners, ensuring favorable terms and mutual benefits.
9. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of engagement processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the aerospace industry.
3. Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and driving revenue growth in a global environment.
4. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in French and English. Additional languages are a plus.
6. Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and identify growth opportunities.
7. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing direct reports.
8. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (approximately 30-40% of the time).
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. Experience with aerospace-specific tools and platforms is a plus.
