    Control & Instrumentation Engineer (Based in France)

    Are you an Engineer with a passion for learning a new language?

    AWE has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Facility Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the EPURE facility near Dijon, France.

    This role involves supporting a joint UK/French Radiographic and Hydrodynamics facility located 45 minutes from Dijon, France.

    Package: £33,850 - £50,800 Plus allowances & benefits

You will be based in France to provide professional engineering services for the maintenance of all assets and equipment required for the Programme.

    Responsibilities:

    • Apply technical knowledge to engineered systems
    • Identify and escalate business risks
    • Make engineering decisions based on evidence
    • Bring C&I engineering skills to the team
    • Provide hands-on support for UK Trials at EPURE
    • Contribute to the development of Safe Systems of Work
    • Acquire and maintain necessary competencies
    • Develop awareness of team and company processes
    • Participate in collaborative working relationships

    Desired qualifications and experience:

    • HNC/HND with additional experience
    • Proven ability in delivering engineering in a manufacturing/research environment
    • Experience in facilities engineering and maintenance services

    Requirements:

    • Relocate to France and stay within 1 hour of the Valduc site
    • Fluency in French is essential
    • Operate in hazardous workplaces
    • Comfortable in the defence industry
    • Fit to wear a respirator and work in radiation-controlled areas

    Please note: Initial UK-based period before deployment to France. Security clearance required.
