  • Operation Project Office is a global function within EMD BU Operation that drives common focus areas for Manufacturing Engineering, closely connected to the local plant organizations.
  • We also work in global crossfunctional networks with GTT, Technology, GTP and Process & IT to secure the quality and manufacturing requirements and to drive continuous improvements.
  • Operation Project Office is responsible the industrialization of Medium and Mediumheavy Duty products evolution for Renault & Volvo Trucks Brand and DAF cabins, assembled in Blainville.
  • We are looking for an Operation Project Manager who demonstrates strong leadership and is eager to lead with his/her team of skilled professionals from Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics and Plants the industrialization of our current and future Renault and Volvo Trucks Medium products. The role will be based in Blainville and reports to the Operation Project Office Manager.
  • The main challenges will be to secure the QDCF targets for the project in collaboration with GTT & GTP, while contributing to the O journey towards customer success through sustainable operations.
  • In this role, you will be a champion for End to End collaboration with all other Group Truck functions in an Agile environment. You need to love challenging adventures, being a true team player and leader, looking forward to deliver to our customers innovative and quality secured products to support their business
  • You will be a key player in the Operation product project governance structure reporting project status, recommending decisions and driving the request for support to Operation functions.
    What we need absolutely you to do
  • Be the Operation representative in the Crossfunctional Vehicle Development Team, building strong and trustfull interfaces to GTT, GTP and Brand colleagues
  • Define key Operation activities together with the Operation project teams. Focus is on manufacturing activities (e.g. assembly equipment) but also on crossfunctional or crosslines activities.
  • Define and monitor projects costs (R&D and CAPEX), Secure Operation resources involved in projects
  • Secure manufacturing & logistics deliveries in agreed project time frames. (production equipment, project builds, Inbound Logistics, manufacturing related activities in Supply Chain, Workforces Trainings,etc )
  • Proactively challenge all line organizations to meet agreed project milestones.
  • Remove road blocks within the project team and take decisions within his scope of authority
  • Through leadership skills, provide motivation and direction to the manufacturing teams involved in the project.

The ticket to ride

  • University degree / MSc
  • Formal training in leadership and communication
  • Awareness of Safe / Agile methodology
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project management.
  • Talent for cultural integration and inspiring leadership
  • Strong abilities in priority setting
  • High organizational ability and strong ability for negotiating.
  • Anticipation and Proactivity
  • Action and result oriented
  • As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required.
