As Software Architect in BDH technology team, your main mission will be to manage and oversee development of our Cloud platform used in Clinical studies

following SaMD and GAMP standards.

You will work closely with data engineers to drive and review SW architecture, from planning to implementation and ensure testing has a good coverage.

You will also work with quality teams, mobile engineers, web engineers, data scientists, product teams and clinical studies leaders.

Your responsibilities:

Owns Software Architecture (services and infrastructure on AWS) and Detail Software Designs of Cloud components
Makes sure that Software Release Process is followed from requirements to tests
Improve the modular approach of our software to improve our risk management and testing strategy
Provides technical inputs on Risk Management.
Approves Development Plans, change request, Design reviews deliverables (review merge requests in gitlab)
Approves Software Testing Strategy based on a risk approach.
Makes sure Cyber Security aspects are covered
Makes sure SaMD Technology is monitored and any incident reported and resolved.
Make sure that external developers are trained according to BDH procedures.
Approves software tools.
Collaborate with crossfunctional project teams comprising functional, technical, regulatory and quality assurance
Collaborate with external collaborators and technology companies on leveraging existing platforms and optimizing them for Biogen's specific needs
Write technical requirements and solutions
Evaluate and understand data scientist needs and provide solutions to help determine optimal technology to deploy in controlled Production environment
Support data analysis, with an emphasis on audibility, versioning, and data security
Identify and evaluate new technologies to improve the performance, maintainability, and reliability of our systems
Actively Driving SaMD/GAMP data engineering activities: Actively drive and oversee SaMD/GAMP development of Cloud platform from planning to implementation & testing, ensuring alignment on all project details: objectives, scope, approach, deliverables, schedule, dependencies and risks.
Upholding Processes: Follow and uphold required and expected processes including regulatory compliance standards and provide input to improve processes. 20%
Engaging Stakeholders/Communicating: Proactively manage IT and functional stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and Steering Committees to ensure accountability and drive value.

Qualifications:

Engineering degree in computer software & architecture
5 years of experience in software engineering mobile or/and cloud
Experience in health industry is a plus
Provide technical leadership in all phases of a project from discovery and planning through implementation and delivery
High need for prioritization and strong communication skills.
Excellent collaboration skills and leadership by influence
