    The Role:

    JTB Meetings & Events, part of the Kuoni Tumlare Group, and member of the Global Travel Network by JTB, supports the meeting, incentive, congress, and event industry with professional Destination Partner services.

    This position will be based in Saint Ouen. (Possibility to work remotely as long as you are based in France with full working rights)

    In the role you will:

    We are currently recruiting a Project Manager M&E with previous experience within the MICE industry and ideally a strong knowledge of Japan to join our passionate team.

    Responsibilities include:


    • Create, plan and deliver large-scale events for a variety of clients across the year


    • Proposal creation and pitch, when required


    • Full logistics including accommodation bookings and all land arrangements


    • Ability to develop concepts, create new products and bring novelty and creativity in the M&E offer


    • Supplier management prior, during and after the event


    • Negotiating with third parties to maximize value creation


    • Client and account management to ensure repeat business


    • Onsite management of the event


    • Budget management and post event reconciliation


    • Reporting to various stakeholders



    The ideal candidate for this position must have:

    • A passion for their job and the fast-paced event industry
    • A natural curiosity for the hospitality environment and the passion to share their enthusiasm & knowledge
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to lead third parties and team members.
    • The ability to develop a clear and mind winning argumentation and the art of persuasion
    • Enthusiasm in delivering outstanding result and reporting in a clear and efficient way
    • The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a complex environment
    • The ability to run a number of different events in parallel and manage a wide range of third parties
    • Stress resistance & ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
    • A portfolio of satisfied clients is a plus
    • Candidates should ideally be coming from an event agency or a DMC and have previously worked with a wide range of clients at Senior levels.
    • End to end event/project management is key and candidates must be able to lead the full scope of a given event, as well as manage other team members taking part of the project.
    • The Project Manager remains the lead of the project throughout the event life cycle, being accountable for winning the project, delivering it seamlessly and ensuring the full reconciliation of the project while maximizing the value creation for both the company and the client.

    Essential requirements:

    • Previous experience/working knowledge in the MICE industry for at least 5 years
    • Fluent in French / English. Written and verbal language skills are essential. Japanese-speaking, is a plus.
    • Deep knowledge of the Japanese territory and what it can offer in terms of MICE services
    • Strong knowledge of the Japanese culture.
