In this role as Head of EU Retail Partnerships you will build and manage our partnerships strategy with some of the largest companies in the world. This role will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and pursuing new collaboration opportunities and Think Big/long-term ideas with our most strategic partners. You will be the single-threaded leader for the WWRR&S organization leading partner relationships across several teams in Consumer, Access Points, & Corp BD. The right candidate stays on top of industry and competitive trends, and can execute at both a tactical and strategic level to drive the right business outcomes while also improving our customer experience. Our ideal candidate will have deep experience in business analytics, strategic relationship building, deal negotiation, and P/L management. In addition, the candidate will enjoy improving customer experience for both partners and end users. Needed Skills and Abilities: · Influencer: Innovative leader with the ability to identify opportunities and influence organizations to gain support and overcome resistance with data and persuasion · Leader: Significant experience leading partner teams through trust, good judgment, decision making and data. · Doer: Ability to successfully deliver end-to-end technology and operations projects, working through the many obstacles along the way · Communicator: Ability to present to c-level executives, communicate expectations and requirements equally well with business and technology teams, and capacity to write well-reasoned and data-driven proposals, performing your own data analysis as necessary · Problem Solver: Ability to utilize exceptional problem-solving skills to work through difficult challenges Roles & Responsibilities: · Define and execute on a strategic market development plan and ensure it's in line with the business strategic direction, in partnership with key internal stakeholders (product, finance, operations, marketing, partner teams, legal, etc.). · Build business development pipeline by engaging with key prospects and partners. · Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings. · Understand the use of and other internal Amazon systems. · Present business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to expanding our reach in the retail industry. · Manage complex contract negotiations and liaison with the legal group · Handle a high volume of engagements and interactions BASIC QUALIFICATIONS · Extensive business development experience negotiating large scale commercial contracts · Superior analytical skills, critical thinking, and willingness to roll up sleeves to get it done · Bachelor's degree · Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes · Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment · Highly polished communication skills - speaking, writing, presenting and negotiating · High threshold for working and thriving in an ambiguous, fast paced environment – figuring it out and adapting as you go · Experience with complex quantitative analysis · Technical aptitude and agility to manage web-based tools PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · MBA · Background in Retail, Operations, and/or Finance · Familiarity with database analysis and/or SQL · Experience working with global companies or international negotiations · CxO relationships and large network in the retail industry Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
