Role


You are responsible for driving the success of the teams and creating and facilitating an environment in which teams can thrive, supervising activities associated with the development and the improvement of the company software products, driving changes towards improving the performance of the Engineering organization in the following domains: process, team synergy, product quality, and architecture.

Essential Duties and responsibilities


Being a people leader- Coach and stimulate the teams to organize their tasks and deliverables independently and grow their customer impact.- Grow your team, their pride, and their sense of belonging by coaching them, giving constructive feedback, and assisting them in their ability to deliver.


Being a technical leader- Knowledge development of architectural and performance indicators' discussions, to build confidence in teams' expertise and ensure putting up the required level of governance.- Provide reporting on product releases, innovation, and achievements, to demonstrate the market value of Engineering deliverables, in collaboration with Product Management and provide insight into the costs of resourcing the teams, cloud spending, and licensing.- Stakeholder management - relationship with the Product team, ensuring a good synchronization with other Engineering Managers throughout the organization.


Able to drive execution and results- Maintain team performance metrics related to available capacity, product releases, quality-related metrics (escaped defects, in-release defects, etc.), business value delivered, burn-down/velocity, unit test coverage, functional test coverage, and report the outcomes to internal stakeholders such as Product and Management.- Ensure alignment and effectiveness of tooling landscape and methods across relevant engineering processes from managing the software development, including requirement collection, analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance — to software delivery.- Responsible for change management processes, tools, and techniques by leading the people management side of change to achieve the required business outcomes for software development of improvement-related projects.


Job Qualifications 7+ years of Software Engineering practice, with a recent span of control of around 15 to 20 people- Experience with international management, including working with offshore teams - Recent experience in successfully building a SaaS, from scratch or with legacy migration.- Up-to-date technical (e.g., SOA, design patterns, Azure stack,...) and process (Scrum, Agile testing, CI/CD,...) knowledge and practice.

We are not looking for an expert. For information, our technical stack comprises.
NET, SQL Server, ReactJS, OData, Swift, Kotlin...- Preferred: Experience in the environmental, health safety (EHS) or operational risk management (ORM)
