Description
Direct Tax Specialist- Corporate Taxation
· Corporate Tax Team in India is managing a portfolio of 3 major entities, 2 smaller entities & 5 trusts tax compliances, including WHT & Advance Tax, Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Transfer Pricing Audit, ITR filing
· This team is also managing Annual Transfer Pricing & ITR filing for 16 overseas entities having transactions with major Indian Entities
· This team also manages assessments & litigations of all above entities
· Team is managing MIS reporting in terms of updating Tax Compliance Tools, Preparing Account Reconciliation Template & IFC Audits
Role & Responsibilities
· Managing tax compliance including WHT & Advance Tax, Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Transfer Pricing Audit, ITR filing for Indian Entities
· Managing MIS activities viz. Tax Compliance Tools, Preparing Account Reconciliation Template & managing Internal Financial Control Audits
· Managing Equalization Levy payments for Foreign Entities in India & filing annual returns for the same
· Calculation of Current & Deferred Tax, Contingent Liability, Books / Tax Reconciliation for Statutory Audit
· Coordinating with Statutory Auditors, Tax Auditors & Transfer Pricing Auditors for timely closure of Audits & filing reports on IT Portal
· Coordinating with consultants to keep track of litigations & follow-ups
· Reviewing submissions/ responses/ appeals to be made to the tax office
· Coordination with Overseas Tax Managers & HQ Transfer Pricing Team for data points needed in Indian Filings
· Participation in automation projects
· Tax Counselling on cross-country deals
Qualifications/Experience
• Chartered Accountant having core experience in Corporate Taxation, Transfer Pricing, and Double Taxation Treaties
• Previous experience in MNC corporate tax team is preferred within 5-7 years
• Previous experience in a consultancy firm on specific profiles mentioned above can also be considered
• Demonstrate the ability to articulate the points for presentation, ability to coordinate smoothly with various Internal stakeholders, consultants, auditors & overseas team members
• Demonstrate problem solver attitude & drive for excellence
