Overview:

Role purpose/Objective
The R&D Product Specialist ensures that the final product observes the company's quality standards.

The Product Specialist is responsible for the overall quality of the product (testing, specs writing, UI), the detection and resolution of problems, and the delivery of satisfactory outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Tests the capabilities of various software, detecting possible issues and reporting them to the development team, in order for these to be fixed
  • Provides national and international technical support for customers or resellers
  • Coordinates with other employees to obtain technical details, optimize designs, and resolve issues;
  • Solve crisis situations that affect the project or projects in which he / she is involved
  • Trains users of software packages in his / her area of competence and expertise
  • Writes Software Requirements Specification documents for the development team
  • Makes proposals for software research and development topics;
  • Is in charge of testing new implementations and is responsible for:
  • Analyzing and reviewing required tests for each implementation;
  • Defining test cases and performing manual and automatic testing;
  • Development of the testing environment for each implementation;
  • Carrying out tests according to test scenarios;
  • Carrying out additional sets of tests, if deemed necessary, and drafting the documentation related to them;
  • Evaluation of test results and proposing solutions accordingly;
  • Reporting the problems encountered in the testing process and following up on their solution;
  • Checking the correct solution of the reported problems, in all situations that may occur in practice.
  • Documents the implementations behavior and results
  • Providing documentation for allocated software and writes technical articles / technical notes / user manuals / technical specifications
  • Designing user interfaces

Key Metrics:


  • External and Internal support delivered in a timely manner first answer between 24 to 72 hours
  • Development roadmap validation, requirements covered by at least one test
  • Automatic tests added in accordance with the implemented development roadmap
  • Stakeholder satisfaction: good level of feedback from stakeholders regarding communication and transparency for support and solutions (number of good/bad comments; perception of quality documents)
  • Highquality specifications and analysis documents (rework how clear the document was to development and test team and meeting enduser requirements)

Responsibilities:


What you must have done already:

  • Technical skills in structural analysis of industrial or civil structures (concrete or steel)
  • Knowledge or experience in using a software package for building design
  • Rebar knowledge / experience

What is nice to have:


  • Knowledge / Experience of Advance Design / Advance Steel / Revit or other similar design software
  • Knowledge about the Finite Element Method
  • Experience in real projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil / Construction Engineering
  • Fluency in English (spoken/written);
  • Creativity & spatial ability, combined with traits such as mathematical & analytical thinking, to produce captivating and innovative designs;
  • Results driven, focused on delivering quality work;
  • Strong communication skills, for dealing with both technical & nontechnical emp
