Overview of the role

Master Technicians are responsible for providing best-in-class service and diagnostics for our electric vehicles.

This position requires an experienced service professional with a solid background and hands-on experience in electric vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.

This role is based in Paris, France


Responsibilities:


  • Performs vehicle diagnostics, firsttime IT repairs and manual and airborne software updates at a Fisker facility and/or port of entry.
  • Avoid repeat repairs and repurchases by understanding customer complaints and following proper service procedures to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the preparation and validation of detailed service repair manuals, service bulletins, technical and parts information, communication with field personnel and owners, etc.
  • Promptly identify and report complex technical problems arising in the field.
  • Undertake the training required to maintain competence as a technician.
  • Supervise a team of technicians and ensure that the team performs tasks to Fisker standards. Coach and mentor junior technicians.
  • Provide support to mobile technicians in low service capacity situations to ensure optimal customer service and fast repair times.
  • Provide support for root cause analysis, identification of emerging trends, problem resolution and facilitate appropriate reporting.
Basic qualifications/knowledge/experience

  • Have the appropriate certification to register as a workshop leader/manager in France.
  • Experience in high voltage work, certification and experience working in harsh conditions is a plus.
  • Five or more years in an EV service role with handson work experience using diagnostic tools and network protocols, e.g. ECU troubleshooting on CAN/LIN/i/Body Bus, LVDS, etc.
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English, additional languages are a plus.
  • Excellent technical problem solving skills with customer contact experience is preferred.

  • Proven experience in customer contact, preferably as a service advisor in the automotive industry.
  • Ability to teach technical topics to colleagues.
